Plants in Barnsley

Our nursery has an extensive range of plants with new varieties arriving on a weekly basis. Newstead is a traditional working nursery with many plants being grown on site including a wide range of seasonal bedding plants incorporating over 50 varieties of summer basket and container plants. We also produce an extensive range of perennial plants to suit any spot within the garden. As we grow many of our own plants and source a lot more from local growers wherever possible we have some of the most competitive prices within the area. All of our seasonal plants are displayed within two undercover display areas to allow browsing and shopping whatever the weather may be.

Flowers and Plants

Our outdoor display areas feature a huge choice of shrubs, displayed on benches and accessed by a series of paths to make for easy viewing. In addition to the extensive range of shrubs, the nursery has a wide selection of conifers, from the dwarf right through to the larger specimen plants for that instant garden effect. You will also be amazed at our vast array of roses, including some old fashioned and unusual varieties. With over 40 varieties of roses you can be sure to find one for any spot within the garden whether it is a miniature patio rose or a large climbing rose.

For the keen vegetable growers amongst you we produce many varieties of vegetable plants throughout the year along with the seasonal favourites of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and courgettes. We also have an extensive choice of fruit trees and soft fruit.
